This is the new website of a new organization. The Association of Puerto Ricans in San Antonio, or A.P.R.I.S.A., as we call it, is an Association created to promote the beautiful Puerto Rican culture in the city of San Antonio and surrounding cities and towns.
We are certainly not the only organization that caters to Puerto Ricans in San Antonio or in Texas for that matter. This is not an organization that will compete with the others. On the contrary, we will try to compliment the other groups, help them fulfill their missions and promote their activities.
However, we are a totally distinct and unique organization. One with it’s own special identity. With it’s own set of Bylaws. With it’s own mission to fulfill.
We hope you join us at one of our activities, which we do monthly. We have “Puerto Rican Mixers”, with the purpose of networking and meeting other Boricuas. We did a “Pastelada” in November, where we learned how to make pasteles in a friendly, non-competitive environment.
Stay posted as we update this site. Should you want to add your name to our mailing list, please do so in the “Contact Us” section.
Best regards!

Hello,
I am so happy that Puerto Rican organizations like APRISA are making their mark in Texas. Sometimes it feels like we’ve been put in the back burner, silenced and replaced with other ethnic groups in this wonderful country that is the USA!
I currently live in Chicago and am looking to relocate to a warmer climate and am considering Texas. Can you recommend a safe but lively neighborhood?
Thank you so much for any information that you can provide.
Best regards,
Amanda
