When was the last time you played in a Domino Tournament? The Association of Puerto Ricans in San Antonio (APRISA) will have it’s 1st Domino Tournament on Saturday, June 19th at the Old San Juan Restaurant.
All skill levels are welcome! Whether you have just started playing or you are a veteran! Weather you are a man or a woman! Weather you are 19 or 91 years old. This is for you. Please join us in a day of fun!
We will start playing at 10 am.
The fee to participate is only $ 20.00 per player. We will play at double elimination, meaning the minimum number of games you will play is two. Fifty (50%) percent of what we collect will go to help the Association of Puerto Ricans in San Antonio continue to do the great things we have started. The other 50% will be given back as prizes to the first and 2nd place teams.
We will also have a raffle where you can win a dinner for two at the Old San Juan and other prizes.
The space is limited, so please fill out the application and send it to the APRISA address on the application. Please download the application and mail it to us with your fee of $ 20/player.

soy puerto riqueno y desearia pertenecer al grupo de juego de domino de ustedes
Hiram: seria bueno que nos acompañaras el proximo sabado 21 de agosto en el Puerto Rican Mixer en el Antigua Bar & Gril.
Para el proximo torneo deberian considerar usar el sistema suizo en vez de doble eliminacion. Asi nadie se elimina y los jugadores pueden jugar mas de dos juegos. Un torneo pequeno usando el sistema suizo usualmente se juegan 5 a 6 juegos. Cada juego tiene un tiempo limite de 40 minutos. Soy de Laredo, Texas, y me encantaria ir a jugar pero no se me hace atractivo viajar para solo jugar un minimo de dos juegos. Aqui en Laredo hay un grupo de 10 jugadores boricuas de domino. Seria bueno organizar uno luego en San Antonio. De todas maneras suerte y exito en el torneo.

Solo un comentario, sin ánimo de ofender a la persona que escribió el anuncio. La palabra “weather” está mal usada. Se debió haber usado la palabra “whether.” “Weather” significa “clima,” y “whether” significa “si.” Por ej: “No importa SI es novato o veterano.” Espero que el torneo sea de gran éxito. =)
